Jacques Rémus (Fr)
Jacques Rémus (Fr) is a composer, sound sculptures and music softwares’ inventor. When he was a biologist in the 80’s, he decided to explore the music and spectacle world. The living arts inspired him and lead him towards a new way: the conception of sound systems and acoustic robots. In his work, he explores the various musical possibilities of his non-human players, the visual relation between the movements of the devices and the sound and its spatialisation. His latest works use a different use of energy and industrial practises.
For Cap Sonic, in partnership with City Sonic, Jacques Rémus will present on the Grand Place of Mons his project Carillon 3 made of 40 robotic tubular bells, from September 8 to 11.
